GOOD FRIDAY

GOOD FRIDAY

THE PASSION OF CHRIST

Wounded For Me

It is only in HIS wounds that the risen Christ can be touched.

May The Lord bless and keep you ! Where there are two or more touching and agreeing in HIS name, God is in the midst working out HIS plan and manifesting HIS GLORY!

May you be engulfed in HIS Presence and always remain assured of The Love of God that knows no depth, height, nor width! Jesus proved the depths of His love for each of on His walk to Golgatha!
May HE anoint you and clear the path for you to do HIS Will!
May The Lord charge HIS Angels to protect you from the attacks of the enemy Beloved of The Most High!
May The Lord LORD lift up His countenance upon you, and give you peace as well as you and your loved ones now and forever!

BE STILL AND KNOW

Blessings!

"He was despised and rejected by men;
a man of sorrows,
and acquainted with grief."
Isaiah 53:3

PASSION AND PRAISE: PALM SUNDAY REFLECTION

PASSION AND PRAISE

Passion is derived from the word that means “suffer.” As we reflect upon the significance of Palm Sunday during the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, we do so with excitement, praise, anticipation, and renewed hope. While our hearts and minds are catapulted into spheres of joy, praise, and pregnant expectation, they must also be tempered by imminence of the clandestine presence of suffering that resides within the corridors and shadows of praise, not for the purpose of suppressing our joy, but to remind us that where there is no cross, there is no crown.

While the masses gathered to welcome Jesus, many had no inherent idea what he was really about. Many had hoped that he was the Messiah, which in their minds meant a political leader, who would bring salvation from political and societal oppression and debauchery, and overthrow the Roman aristocracy. After all, Jesus had raised the dead and performed many miracles recorded and not recorded, thus, the populous assumed that Jesus would restore the kingdom of David and free them from Roman rule.

While there was veracity in the hopes, expectations, and dreams of the masses, many had misunderstood, fallen short of comprehending, and recklessly overlooked that the necessity of the fulfillment of The Passion of Jesus Christ of which Psalm Sunday was the precursor; i.e., suffering would still unfold before authentic praise would be perfected and fulfilled. For we know that “God moves in mysterious ways his wonders to perform” and the word of God reminds us “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord, For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9.

In essence, the plan of God was operative on a higher plane not yet understood by the hearts of men and women. Regarding the manifestation of perfected praise, perfected praise is a profoundly deeply-rooted honor and reverence of thanksgiving that Believers lift up to God, who has saved and blessed them by his grace through the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Perfected praise is also birthed by purification through the fire of trials where joy and peace are the Believers’ companion where hopelessness and despair should otherwise reside.

Thus, while Believers, Witness Bearers of The Faith, must approach Palm Sunday with joy and shouting “Hosanna,” which means “save now,” we must also do so with a sober reverence to God because within “The Cup” that overflowed with praises bestowed upon Jesus, were bitter dregs of suffering of which Jesus was aware. In essence, while the focus of the masses was on the material world, the focus of Jesus was on a mission of a higher call and vastly more enormous than one place and one time, for it was a mission that would transform all that was, all that is, and all that shall be! Glory to God in The Highest!!! God is the Alpha and the Omega and within the Passion of Jesus, “the Beginning and the End” were reconciling themselves that the excellency of Christ would be made manifest!

Importantly and ironically, the masses who shouted Hosanna during the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, were comprised of the same masses who displayed the fickleness of the human heart just a few days later in their angry and insulting vulgarities and chants requests to Pilate to “Crucify Him!” This dynamic causes the Believer to keep ever present the question that Jesus proposed when he stated, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? Mark 8:36. Place not your hope and faith in accolades of men and women, but God Almighty Beloved of God! An important point to mention here to us as believers is that we must resist the temptation to place God in a box as well! The Lord is doing a new thing!!! Just as Jesus was not finished with the plan of God during his triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem, God is not finished with you yet nor his plans for your life Beloved of God! Keep the Faith and continue to press forward to the mark of the high calling in Jesus Christ!

While our eyes are fixed on Easter morning and the joyous outpouring of grace and gratitude that was is manifested through the resurrection of Jesus Christ, let us not forget the rough and rocky precipice that Jesus took and that we must take to get there. Christian Lyric Writer, Jennie E. Hussey, echoed these sentiments in a hymn that she penned in 1921, “Lead Me To Calvary.”

Lead Me To Calvary

King of my life, I crown Thee now,
        Thine shall the glory be;
Lest I forget Thy thorn-crowned brow,
        Lead me to Calvary.

Refrain:
Lest I forget Gethsemane,
Lest I forget Thine agony;
Lest I forget Thy love for me,
Lead me to Calvary.

Show me the tomb where Thou wast laid,
Tenderly mourned and wept;
Angels in robes of light arrayed
Guarded Thee whilst Thou slept.

Let me like Mary, through the gloom,
Come with a gift to Thee;
Show to me now the empty tomb,
Lead me to Calvary.

May I be willing, Lord, to bear
Daily my cross for Thee;
Even Thy cup of grief to share,
Thou hast borne all for me.

Be Blessed

PRAYER FOR WISDOM

Wisdom is the astute application of knowledge. It embodies a profound comprehension and awareness of people, human behavior, circumstances, nature, the universe, and the presence of GOD, coalescing into the ability to appropriately and compassionately execute discernment, decisions, and actions all in keeping with this understanding. When King Solomon was the successor of the United Kingdom of Judah and Israel, he neither asked GOD for power, wealth, status, longevity, nor self-adulation. Instead, King Solomon asked GOD to help him govern his kingdom well and wisely. GOD was pleased with Solomon’s request because it was a humble, an earnest, and a selfless request. God honored Solomon’s requests and also granted him two things which most people desire: longevity and riches.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: Gracious LORD, we come before thy presence in a posture of gratitude and a heart of thanksgiving to express our deep and sincere reverence for the profound grace that you have bestowed upon us as your people; the sheep of your pasture and partakers of thy gracious bounty. We pray Dear LORD, that you would remind us of how special we are to you and that neither part of our hearts, our minds, nor our bodies are unknown to thee. Grant us the wisdom to trust in you and the movement of thy Holy Spirit and render us with the faith the size of a mustard seed. Teach us to petition thee for wisdom, temperance, patience, and love in place of our immodest desires and the temptations of self-indulgence, personal agenda, self-promotion, or supremacy over others. We ask this prayer in thy precious name. Amen.

Be Blessed,
K. Mason

Immortal Invisible

Immortal Invisible

Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the in habitants of the land into the house of the Lord your God, and cry unto the Lord

Joel 1:14

Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things. Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength. Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God.

Joel 2:21-23a

That which lives forever is immortal and that which we cannot see is invisible like the air that we breathe.
In our present time we are beset by an array of challenges that summon both our time and our attention. While life often presents us with the challenge to resolve urgent presenting issues immediately, we become simultaneously inundated or even avalanched by a cascade of more pressing issues subsequent to the issue that we are in the midst of remedying. We ponder and muse to ourselves that we are at the brink of breaking-point; i.e., the point of no return. Sometimes it appears that we are gasping for air, yet feel suffocated by the circumstances that beset us with little to no relief on the horizon. Sometimes those moments that we must gasp for air are further intensified and evident when our marriages fail, when our children go astray, when we are betrayed by those whom we trust, when our friends take a hiatus during the times we need them most, when years of dedicated service result in months of unemployment, when we lose our homes, when our finances are depleted, when sickness brings life as we  once celebrated it to a halt, when the shadow of death claims the lives of those whom we love, when parents place their children on psychological probation, when the good that we exemplify is spoken of as evil, when shame and slander are the news of the day, when doors of opportunity are slammed shut, when our brothers and sisters find shelter on the streets, when food is discarded in large quantities daily, yet far too families are left to starve while they bear witness to their children who fall prey to the disease of malnutrition, when we as members of this great nation, resort to internal fighting and conflict due to our own fears, biases, idiosyncrasies, and insecurities, while forgetting those things that unify us as one in the bond of love of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. It appears that we have forgotten the unity that bonded us when our fathers, mothers, brother, sisters, and other beloved had returned home from world wars and civil wars as well as those times when collective medical efforts conquered disease. It seems that we have forgotten the sacrifices of those who paved the way before us who traversed rocky precipices in hues of Black, Red, White, Yellow, and Brown. It seems that we have forgotten those types of adversities that have changed our lives as we once knew it such as the horror of 911 and the catastrophe of Hurricane Katrina all of which caused us to reckon with the reality that we are all in this thing called “life” together. What does this apathy that we, at present, experience mean we ponder? How did we veer off-track we muse? Is all lost? Is there anything reconcilable we ask ourselves even as we pray with heavy hearts and troubled minds? What does God require of us in such challenging times? What must we require of one another?

The Prophet, Joel, considered a minor prophet, yet with a major proclamation, petitions and reminds us that HOPE in God is still very much alive and that we must reconcile ourselves to God through our faith in Jesus Christ, whom redeems us. Joel reminds us that we must assemble and humble ourselves before God and petition his grace and mercy with the aid of our elders in a posture of submission coupled with the relinquishment of our self-righteousness and pompousness. When we place ourselves before the presence of God our Holy Father at the base of the Mercy Seat in an authentic and self-revelatory manner, fear, shame, doubt, desolation, brokenness, exclusion, and apathy can no longer lay claim to our destiny, our faith, and our royal priesthood because God our Father, who is the Ancient of Days is still on the throne! Because God is sovereign, trees will bear fruit, fountains will flow with living water, pastures will become green, and we as the sheep of his pasture will be enveloped in the presence of the Immortal Invisible, yet Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Omniscient Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Be Blessed,
K. Mason

Focusing on that which is Divinely Important

During the past year, we have commensurately by our own volition as well by way of circumstance been witness bearers to the impossible becoming possible, the unimaginable becoming actualized, the dreaded coming to fruition; the clandestine becoming obvious, those things hoped for evaporating like a vapor, the onslaught of paradoxes forming the fabric of our lives, and the certainties in our lives being taken away like the waves of ocean sweeps across a blanket of wet sand and taking contents of it into the sea of forever and vastness.

We ask ourselves, “What am I to make of this?” “Why bother struggling?” “Will my feeble efforts stand up amidst insurmountable odds?” “Does GOD even care?”

Beloved of GOD, God does care! If we venture to look a little closer in looking at the larger picture, we arrive at the startling reality that GOD is not only the Motivator who invites us to glean into our places refuse (waste), agony, and suffering for deeper and larger meaning, but GOD offers us HIS loving presence to endure such challenges and binds us closer to HIMSELF that we might experience HIS infinite love that never lets us go. In that very place, we find solace, contentment, and certainty
.

"I have been young, and now am old;
yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken,
nor his seed begging bread.”
Psalm 37:25

HOLY WEEK MEDITATION 2007

AFTEROON REFLECTION

In the midst of our complex, compulsive, convulsive world men and women raise their voices to render utterance and interpretation to a world that is fraught with paradox and tempered by grace in the most astonishing of places. As seekers of truth, passion, meaning, and bliss we announce with incredible boldness and great
anticipation that were are waiting to seek what good thing can emerge from the bowels of our Nazareths, what wisdom can be garnered from loosing ourselves in oblivion, and what connections can be made from finding there in the midst of our greatest darkness our own light. The journey to wholeness invites and teaches us
that unless strength is tempered with the presence of weakness and weakness tempered with the presence of strength and both tempered with the presence of love, that we deny our own wholeness and that of the wholeness in others.

As we continue our journey, the holy pilgrimage, the trip to the bountiful, the quest to the celestial city of GOD, cultivation of the harvest in our fathers’ vineyard and our mothers’ garden are critical places of refuge where we must sometimes take respite to become more intimately acquainted with the healer who specializes in the binding and dressing of wounds with the balm of compassion and mercy, with the heroine to travail in birth as she renders new life from her primordial womb of wisdom, with the psalmist to play his lyre to soothe our weariness, brokenness, isolation, invisibility, insecurity, and ineptness into the banks of sleep against the backdrop of a blue satin night sky, with the artist to paint colors of ecstasy and passion, grandeur and splendor and in doing so paints beauty upon the palette of our psyche releasing frozen hopes, deferred dreams, and abandoned anticipations, with the sage who proclaims the LOGOS that chants psalms that speak of the “Wisdom of the Ages.”

We realize that time is a gift by which we encounter the Presence of the Divine through both the Kiros and the Chronos. This presence into which we are ushered some call GOD, some Jesus, some Allah, some Buddah, some Branman, some Shiva, some the Great Spirit, and others Higher Power. We come before your Divine,
Inescapable, and Eternal Presence God to invoke your blessing upon us and in us and with us as you and your will gets articulated, actuated, and activated in our lives. As we struggle to discern faith’s response to suffering, pain, injustice, brokenness, and hopelessness, remind us that hope accompanies faith and grace abides within.
As we gather to celebrate what it means to be made WHOLE, enable us to garner strength for the journey and wisdom for enlightenment. Enable us to be beckons of hope in brokenness, light in darkness, comfort in distress, quiet when there are tears, patience when there is struggle, and openness when there is fear as garner strength
and gain spiritual insight about GOD, self, and others.

As each of us progresses on our journey to the Celestial City of GOD, may the loving and gracious hand of GOD comfort you.

ISAIAH 55: 11
So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

WHEN VALLEYS ARE EXALTED

Plethora Ministries
WORD WEEK 03-25-07
WHEN VALLEYS BECOME EXALTED

ISAIAH 40:4-5, 29-31 KJV

4 Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain: 5 And the glory of the LORD shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it. 29 He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30 Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31 But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

WHEN VALLEYS BECOME EXALTED

Disruptions, disappointments, betrayals, exclusions, deferred advancements, inappropriate dislodge of power, sickness, class bias, racial bias, gender bias, depression, destruction, disintegration of the dignity and the worth of human lives, prisons who capitalize on the births of African American males not yet born by projecting their life-paths by the age of three, wars that claim the lives of many who serve forever transforming the lives of their family members, famine, disease, brokenness, hopelessness, poverty, and the waste of the sanctity of innocent lives in the world as a consequence of war, greed, experimentation, and economics are a fraction of the plethora of valleys in which the beloved of GOD reside. Valleys, a place where the triumph of hope over experience stacks the odds of success, survival, prosperity, victorious living, self-empowerment, self-efficacy, solidarity, and community unity against the beloved of GOD! Pandemic unemployment, the United States work force crisis, disintegration in social and work ethics, drug-addicted babies who die as a consequence of having in utero exposure to drugs, children in Africa and India who die by the dozens as a consequences of malnutrition, revenue spent on the development of penal systems, and revenue retracted from budgets for recreation; music; humanities; liberal arts curriculums all of which are presently defunct in the public school system as they are not deemed a significant enough investment, but are on the brink merges. Blatant racism tempered by little regard and/or awareness of the seriousness and implication of deep-cutting infractions against the humanness of other human beings who have contributed to the prosperity of this nation, flagrant political mudslinging, and the celebration and sensationalism of superficial matters, like those who make the best-dressed list in the entertainment spotlight are types of valleys in which those who are admired and those who aspire to be admired define self-worth, recognition, validation, and acceptance.

Geographically expressed, a VALLEY is a low area of land surrounded by higher areas such as a hill(s) and/or mountains. VALLEYS are like that of a depression in the surface of a mountain.

As we reflect upon the Biblical Scripture above, one of the common themes to which we bear witness is the presence and the reality of valleys. We encounter glimpses of VALLEYS when we become witness bearers to the lament of Hagar, The Egyptian Woman Servant, who cries beneath a tree when she feared the death of her son and Abraham's son, Ishmael, subsequent to being banished by Sarah. We become witness bearers to those who are placed in depressions (VALLEYS) when we travail with Joseph whose brothers sought his demise by placing him in a well and leaving him for dead!. Lastly, we encounter desolation and the "dark night of the soul" when we are witness bearers to the crucifixion of Jesus Christ who asks The FATHER about the psychology and dynamic of forsakenness as he lay nailed and dying.

While VALLEYS are present throughout the world and cover the globe without regard to status, ethnicity, or bloodline, they become a place where suffering is so great that the BELOVED OF GOD have become immune to and/or anesthetized by their immensity and profundity! Moreover, the passion of living abundantly and joyously appears to have been abducted by the sobering reality that hearts of too many of GOD'S people are becoming apathetic because VALLEYS have become places where GOD'S PEOPLE have come to believe that they are destined to reside! Consequently, far too many of the LORD'S people have given up, given out, and have given in because they believe that their tears nor their desolate state in the VALLEY do not touch the heart of a loving and gracious GOD! In essence, climbing out of the VALLEY appears to require too much work and does not appear to avert one's present suffering. Consequently, GOD'S BELOVED are born there, live there, and die there; not because they are destined too, but because they falsely believe that they are destined to! Help us GOD!

In essence, VALLEYS are not only places where one THE BELOVED physically reside, but VALLEYS are places where THE BELOVED emotionally and psychologically reside as well! VALLEYS are the places in our lives the cause far too many gifted, talented, and spiritually-grounded persons to abandon the necessity of hope, the quest of of dreaming, and the perseverance to bring those dreams into fruition because the fear of the height, the breadth, scope, and the depth of the mountains that are before us appear insurmountable! VALLEYS are those places when the persons we love die! VALLEYS are the places where hearts have been broken! VALLEYS are the places where betrayal is flagrant and commonplace! VALLEYS are the places where suicide reigns because the beauty of life has become scared by ugliness and despair and the quick way out appears to be the only way out! VALLEYS are the places where kindness and gratitude are virtues of a by-gone era! VALLEYS are the places where feel-good drugs are considered common-place and cool because reality appears like the fantasy and fantasy like reality! VALLEYS are the places where me, myself, and I are the only persons about whom "love thy neighbor" dare to become intimate! VALLEYS are the places where persons are placed on psychological and emotional probation, not so much because the convicted has not made atonement for his/her ways, but because far too many of THE BELOVED are sitting in the seat of JUDGE, PROSECUTOR and JUROR! VALLEYS!

While VALLEYS in and of themselves can extinguish life, VALLEYS are also places where man's DESTINY meets GOD'S DIVINITY! In other words, VALLEYS are the places that the power, breath, depth, scope, and infiniteness of GOD'S omnipotence becomes manifested! Simply stated, VALLEYS can become places where one comes to the reality of the power of and the necessity of the intervention of GOD! African -Americans in servitude and slavery endured their harsh realities because many were born lived, and died in the VALLEY, but died with an awareness that their off-spring who be exalted from the VALLEY via the power of GOD!!

The "Word OF GOD" reminds us that GOD gives power to the weary and faint in the VALLEY! GOD promises to exalt every low place [VALLEY] and lower every high place [mountains] that are oppressive to those ensnared by VALLEY experiences. In the VALLEY where there are crooked and rough paths, GOD promises to straighten and smooth the path of the journey of HIS BELOVED! Consequently, when we are in the VALLEY, the good news is that GOD is in the VALLEY with us as well and it is by the gracious presence of The Holy Spirit that HE enables us to absorb the shock of a deepening spirituality that can only be yielded via VALLEY encounters! We are witness bearers via the Prophets in the Old Testament who remind us that our strength, fortitude, vision, hope, song, and petitions are often conveyed to the LORD not only by words, but via our moans and groans and tears which the HOLY SPIRIT maketh intercession from the VALLEY! The petitions of the BELOVED OF GOD provokes the gentle hand of GOD to carry the Beloved Wounded over mountains, through valleys, and across oceans. In VALLEYS of distress, lean on GOD! In VALLEYS of brokenness, rely on GOD, In VALLEYS of numbness cling to GOD! In VALLEYS of confusion, trust GOD! In VALLEYS of grief, be comforted by GOD! In VALLEYS of despair, place your hope in GOD! In VALLEYS of disappointments, tell GOD! In VALLEYS of war, pray to GOD! In VALLEYS of stagnation, surrender to GOD! In VALLEYS of brokenness, give "it" over to GOD! In VALLEYS of loneliness, be comforted by GOD! In VALLEYS of transition, love GOD! Subsequently, as each event/narrative unfolds, we become witness bearers to the transformative power of VALLEYS as we are reminded the life happens and that VALLEYS then become Oh' Blessed VALLEY OF GOD! When we encounter Jesus in our suffering and when everything familiar to us appears to be communicated via our VALLEY experiences, Jesus touches us in a way that causes our suffering and brokenness to become our comfort and strength. Throughout the sacred text; i.e., from the book Genesis to the book of Revelation, we as the Beloved Community of GOD are petitioned to embrace the spiritual necessity that the Divine Journey will summons the necessity of the VALLEY in our lives.

When we abandon the parameters of human reason alone and "tap" the consciousness of GOD, our lives become transformed in our realization that our lives are really not our own, but gifts birthed by the unfathomable love of GOD! The Holy Spirit causes something to happen to us, with us, and in us as we know that victory and triumph can only come from divine intervention which on many occasions has been activated by the VALLEY! As each of us progresses on our journey to the Celestial City of GOD, may the loving and gracious hand of GOD comfort you in response to your VALLEYS. May the words that only your tears can render expression grant you peace and release.

ISAIAH 55: 11

WAIT ON THE LORD

Plethora Ministries

WORD WEEK 06-11-06

WAIT ON THE LORD

ISAIAH 40:28-31
KJV28Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. 29He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. 30Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: 31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

WAIT ON THE LORD

Fear, anxiety, brokenness, helplessness, disempowerment, hopelessness, suffering, and oppression are a few of the daily dynamics that hundreds and hundreds of the BELOVED of GOD experience far too frequently. Pandemic suffering is so great that the motivation to live and the intrinsic desire to wait on GOD appear too great of a charge to fathom much less implement. Consequently, far too many of the LORD'S people have given up, given out, and have given in because waiting on the LORD appears to require too much work and does not appear to abate one's present suffering!

This "weight to wait" is one dynamic that causes the dedicated, the humble, the committed, and the courageous to question not only the issue of whether or not GOD hears, but question at a more profound level if GOD really cares about the concerns that matters to each of us! Help us GOD! We reside in a world that provides each of us with implicit and explicit messages that speed as well as instant gratification equals proficiency. While the aforementioned is far too often an occurrence, there are other instances when real progress and transformation are and can only be authenticated by the SLOW WORK OF GOD!

Success is heralded as money equals movement equals prestige. While many can access and generate revenue and while the media attempts to dictate to whom should be rendered the spotlight, the aforementioned indicators are not necessarily markers of success nor do they indicate consultation with the LORD. However, “the weight of the wait” becomes greater as we see the secular world making strides and gains and the faith community appearing as though it is stuck in freeze-frame!

This dynamic of waiting is one that is tempered by the gracious presence of The Holy Spirit. When we wait in anticipation for the movement and the manifestation of the blessings of the LORD in the pulling down of strongholds, the release of shackles, the manifestation of healing in the presence of sickness, the activation of congregational growth, and the answering of petitions, the "weight of the wait" will become lighter if we trust GOD. The Prophet, Isaiah, reminds us that they who wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength, fortitude, vision, hope, song, and their spirit as it is the breath of GOD that carries the Beloved of GOD over mountains, through valleys, and around oceans like the winds that supports the wings of eagles causing them to soar!

While we wait on the LORD, this act of trust, faith, and grace is one of a myriad of ways in which we are grown by the LORD and purified by the SPIRIT. Blessings authenticated by GOD do not necessarily happen over night though they could should GOD desire.

Throughout history we are witness bearers of those who saw the vision and trusted GOD in the midst of their disenchantment and suffering. If the truth were investigated, each of us would arrive at the conclusion that it is the presence of the LORD that sustains us in the period of the "wait without weights!"

Far too often the Beloved of GOD get the waiting process confused with the secular world's perspective of waiting which is often a softer way to abandon the well being of others. Consequently, believers embrace the weights of what they perceive as inactivity and abandonment and become weighted-down! Help us GOD! In essence, waiting on the LORD should not weigh us down but lighten the burdens because we know that GOD is in control! Each and everyday that we encounter the news, we get stanch glimpses of the myriad of ways that this whole dynamic of waiting gets played-out in the lives of the rich and poor; the white, black, yellow, and red; the famous and the unknown; the controllers of power and those oppressed by such power; the strong and the weak; the embraced and those for whom an embrace is feared; the restored and the broken; the accepted and heralded; the rejected and the outcast.

However, "the weight of the wait" should motivate the Beloved of GOD to action! Actions such as Prayer, Active Listening, Meditation, Spiritual Reading, Praise, Reflection, Contemplation, Self-Reflection, and Mission, all of which will bring about a glorious transformation in the Christian man/woman! Consequently, the wait is not a weight but a holy invitation for each of us to engage in an intimate relationship with a GOD who loves us with a love that is deeper then any ocean, wide as any valley, and high as any mountain top! Now, that is LOVE!

In times of distress, WAIT ON THE LORD! In times of brokenness, WAIT ON THE LORD! In times of confusion, WAIT ON THE LORD! In times of grief, WAIT ON THE LORD! In times of despair, WAIT ON THE LORD! In times of sickness, WAIT ON THE LORD, In times of disappointments, WAIT ON THE LORD, In times of what appears as stagnation, WAIT ON THE LORD! In times of family disintegration, WAIT ON THE LORD! In times of betrayals, WAIT ON THE LORD! In times of transition, WAIT ON THE LORD! In times of uncertainty, WAIT ON THE LORD! In times of woundedness, WAIT ON THE LORD! In times of abandonment, WAIT ON THE LORD! Yes, Beloved of GOD WAIT ON THE LORD who fainteth not, nor is GOD weary for when we call upon the LORD GOD, GOD always answers!

As the events unfold in the text of Isaiah, Chapter 40, we are reminded that we should be of good cheer as we wait upon the undefeatable presence and power of YAHWEH! Subsequently, as the events unfold, we become witness bearers as we are reminded of the an unnamed woman who yearns for healing and quests for deliverance from twelve long years of suffering whom we encountered in the prior week's reflection. As she recognizes that JESUS is present, it is likely that she recollects via flashbacks, her twelve years of suffering, praying, disappointments, fears, letdowns, betrayals, and watching others receive their blessings, all of which became days that have acquiesced into nights, nights that have acquiesced into days. She had to WAIT! However, when her deliverance was at hand, there was not a force in humanity nor nature that dared stand between her and GOD! In essence, we WAIT ON THE LORD, we are in actuality, waiting for the LORD to set things and motion for supernatural movement! When we encounter Jesus in our suffering and when everything familiar to us appears at risk because we are required to wait, Jesus touches us in a way that causes our suffering and brokenness to become the launch pad that catapults us to higher and greater dimensions in the LORD! In other words, your weakness becomes your strength, your brokenness becomes your fortress, and your faith becomes the reality!

Throughout the sacred text; i.e., from the book Genesis to the book of Revelation, we as the Beloved Community of GOD are petitioned to embrace the spiritual necessity that the Divine Journey will call into question, the necessity of the wait, which could cause some weight at times! Oftentimes, the require of sacrifice and the delay of gratification accompanies the life of him/her who thirsts, follows, and is compelled by the intimately transformative presence of GOD! Far too frequently, many of the Beloved of GOD are dismayed, while others are disconcerted, still even others abducted by fear when events and plans do not occur according to plan. Moreover, such distress is ignited like wildfire by the harsh reality when fear, disappointment, loss, and suffering occur when the Beloved of GOD is petitioned by the Spirit to wait. Waiting while we struggle with "It might happen, It could happen, It is likely to happen, and/or What if it did happen!" While our faith in GOD is couched in NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, so is the capacity and the power of the wait!

As we look at current events, both nationally and internationally, injury, destruction, suffering, and the pleasure principle are all at pandemic levels. Sensitivity, patience, morality, the necessity of being our brothers' and sisters' keepers, the honoring of those in their senior years, the feeding of the hungry, team work, the sheltering of the homeless, the liberation of the oppressed, and the readiness to die to CHRIST are all being sacrificed, because the dynamic of wait relies on GOD'S vision verses that of humanity.

We deepen our faith walk and our relationship with CHRIST when our journey is accompanied by such a dynamic because waiting is a very active process! The spiritual life in CHRIST causes each of us to take risks, walk out on cliffs, venture down unknown paths, abandon that which is familiar and predictable, stand against the crowd, and remain loving and forgiving in the face of betrayals and trap layers while we WAIT!! When we abandon the parameters of human reason alone and "tap" the consciousness of GOD, our lives become transformed in our realization that our lives are really not our own, but gifts birthed by the unfathomable love of GOD! The Holy Spirit causes something to happen to us, with us, and in us as we know that victory and triumph can only come from divine intervention via the LORD! In essence, Beloved of GOD, rejoice in the LORD and be of good courage, wait I say on the LORD! For your waiting is not the indicator that life is taking you under, but is in actuality a door for the LORD GOD to endow your life with greater possibilities and blessings then eyes have seen and ears have heard! YOU are an aspect of GOD'S DREAM being fulfilled and GOD'S LOVE regenerating itself! They that wait upon the LORD shall RENEW their Strength!

ISAIAH 55: 11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

I WILL SURVIVE!

Plethora Ministries

WORD WEEK 06-04-06

I WILL SURVIVE!

Matthew 9: 21-22
KJV20Just then a woman who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years came up behind him and touched the edge of his cloak. 21She said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be healed." 22Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment.

I WILL SURVIVE

As the season of Spring provides us with beauty for the eyes and fragrance in the air, we are reminded that all living things are renewed. Trees and shrubbery that were once bared by the blanket of Winter are now fully clad in their vestment of green hue. Flowers, both beautiful and fragrant, have struggled to make their entrance into the world after a season of slumber in the dark of soil and cold. Hope appears just when many of us have silently uttered to ourselves, "what is the use in continuing" or wondered will our presence in the world really matter or ever make a difference?

Since the beginning of time to the present day, human beings have made incredible advancements in Science, Medicine, Technology, and, Psychology. However, the one existential issue that still seems to plague each of us is that of something so basic, yet visceral, namely survival. Each and everyday that we encounter the news, we get stanch glimpses of the myriad of ways that this whole dynamic of survival gets played-out in the lives of the rich and poor; the white, black, yellow, and red; the famous and the unknown; the controllers of power and those oppressed by such power; the strong and the weak; the embraced and those for whom an embrace is feared; the restored and the broken; the accepted and heralded; the rejected and the outcast.

Beneath the basic pulsating drive of the survival of all living things is the dynamic of immortality verses extinction. Life is a gift we are told to open with gratitude, gentleness, and mindfulness. Commensurately, life may present many of us with a range of circumstances that appear insurmountable. Circumstances that have the propensity to impact not only our lives, but the lives of others both directly and indirectly profoundly. We are impacted on a daily bases by the increase in the cost of living and the deterioration in the quality of life. While some persons struggle to meet the obligation of their utility expenses, still others struggle to figure out from whence will come their next meal. While some persons struggle to pay a monthly automobile expense, still others struggle with the issue of displacement which might be a consequence of unemployment and/or foreclosure on their homes. While some persons have little to no regard for lives that do not impact their microcosmic world, still others' lives hang in suspense because no one desires to stand up and advocate for their rights. While the United States is a land rich in resources and prosperity, still far too many United States citizens are unable to become empowered by their basic constitutional rights, but are left destitute and outcast!

Such an avalanche of life changing events can cause even the most grounded human being/Christian to question his/her survival if the "bottom falls out." While many persons project high confidence and might render the impression to others, that anxiety is not in their story, when he/she sits alone, the reality that 24 hours can radically change the rest of one's life forever looms ever presently, if the truth were revealed.

As the events unfold in the text of Matthew, Chapter 9, we are rendered a stanch glimpse of the collision of the triumph of hope over the experience! Though this pericope is brief in narration, it is pregnant with possibility and endowed with a sense of struggle and the will to live abundantly in the power and the presence of the LORD as evidenced by its content! Subsequently, as the events unfold, we become witness bearers to an unnamed woman who yearns for healing and quests for deliverance from twelve long years of suffering. For the unnamed woman, she was plagued with an issue of blood for twelve long years, yet for many of us we too are plagued with issues that angst us, some of which we harbor shame, shame that is never uttered, by held and cogitated in the deep recess of our souls. Help us GOD!

What this unnamed woman offers each of us is a reality check that when we have come to a place in our journey when we feel or believe that GOD has forgotten about us and when the road on that journey appears to be spiraling into more ambiguity and hopelessness, it is in this place that GOD comes to us! GOD is always present to us even at those times when it becomes difficult to sense his presence. In the 1939 movie based on L. Frank Baum's The Wizard Of OZ, we are reminded that GOD'S presence is always present to us when we reflect upon the scene when Dorothy and her cohorts are on their way to Emerald City. While success was on their horizon, the Wicked Witch of the West, decided place a field of poppy seed flowers before them to induce sleep. Subsequently, as the events unfold, we become witness bearers to a translucent and iridescent image of Glinda the Good Witch who over shadows the poppy seed field causing it to snow and awakening Dorothy and her sleeping cohorts! Moreover, the Scarecrow bellowed out the fears that many of us have uttered in one word that gets at a state of our threaten survival, namely, "HELP!"

What both the Wizard Of Oz and the Woman with an Issue of Blood illuminates for each of us is there are many instances when our survival becomes so threaten either we are seduced to sleep from the depression of having our survival repeatedly threatened or we have are impacted by blood-related issues that impact our quality of life like that of the Woman with an Issue of Blood. Further reflection on the Biblical narrative illustrates that this woman was dealing with an issue of life and death as blood is the life-force of the body. However, the great news is that we are one in the bond of love for he whose blood is the key to abundant life and he whose blood was shed for the remission of sin!

While this narrative does suggest that this unnamed woman was dealing with a blood-related issue, it also implies that the quality of her life was significantly impacted by such. In essence, she was uncertain if she would survive, but when she saw JESUS, the words "I can't take it any longer" were transformed into the words, "I Will SURVIVE!" These words were not so much articulated via her mouth as they were via her attitude, action, and ability to stretch herself even further in her suffering and ambiguity once she encountered Jesus! When we encounter Jesus in our suffering and when everything familiar to us is at risk of not surviving, Jesus touches us in a way that causes our suffering and brokenness to become the launch pad that catapults us to higher and greater dimensions in the LORD! In other words, your weakness becomes your strength, your brokenness becomes your fortress, and your faith because the certainty!

For this unnamed woman her survival was an issue as it related to twelve years of suffering. This narrative presents each of us as witness bearers with a similar inquiry, namely, "What thoughts, What beliefs about ourselves, What undisclosed hopes, prayer, and longing do we harbor that impact the quality of our survival because we await deliverance form the LORD? Throughout the sacred text; i.e., from the book Genesis to the book of Revelation, we as the Beloved Community of GOD are petitioned to embrace the spiritual necessity that the Divine Journey will call into question, one's survival. Oftentimes, the threat of survival accompanies the life of him/her who thirsts, follows, and is compelled by the intimately transformative presence of GOD. However, the threat of survival summons anxiety and fear in the believer as we have trepidation that the requirements will be great and the cost quite high! While we embrace the reality that an aspect of the spiritual experience is about euphoric rejoicing, we attempt and desire to stay clear and avoid the aspect of the spiritual life that requires our embrace of survival threat! The consolation of the journey accompanied by the question of survival is that YOU are NEVER ALONE BELOVED of GOD! ABSOLUTELY NEVER! NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS...GOD! NO MATTER WHAT DOES NOT HAPPEN...GOD!

Far too frequently, many of the Beloved of GOD are dismayed, while others are disconcerted, still even others abducted by fear when events and plans do not occur according to plan. Moreover, such distress is ignited like wildfire by the harsh reality when fear, disappointment, loss, and suffering occur when the Beloved of GOD encounters threats. Threats are couched it "It might happen, It could happen, It is likely to happen, and/or What if it did happen," while our faith in GOD is couched in NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS! The Woman with the issue of blood illuminates for each of us that he/she who has the will to survive must be willing to embrace the reality of risk commensurately. Despite her being outlasted, shamed, discouraged, misunderstood, prevented from equal access to opportunity, and despised, her suffering becomes the strength that ensures her capacity to survive once she has made conscious contact with JESUS!

Throughout the Holy Text, we are witness bearers to the reality that quite often a companion of transformation and spiritual enlightenment is the presence of threat. What an ironic statement we ponder silently, even right now in reading this reflection many of use are wondering how will those things which appear to keep us binded ever release their hold on our ability to surge forth? When we as witness bearers observe the interaction of Adam and Eve and their interface with the Tree of Knowledge, we witness the interplay of the threat of survival. When we as witness bearers observe The Call of Abraham, the promise to Sarah, and the Promise to Hagar from JEHOVAH, we witness the interplay of the threat of survival! When we as witness bearers observe the plight of Joseph in having been left in a well, sold, and betrayed, we witness the interplay of the threat of survival. There are numerous occurrences of this reality. The poignant and compelling question remains: Why is it for so many Christians does this occurrence become disconcerting?

As we look at current events, both nationally and internationally, injury, destruction, suffering, and the pleasure principle are all at pandemic levels. Sensitivity, patience, morality, the necessity of being our brothers' and sisters' keepers, the honoring of those in their senior years, the feeding of the hungry, team work, the sheltering of the homeless, the liberation of the oppressed, and the readiness to die to CHRIST are all being sacrificed, because the dynamic of survival threat accompanies the aforementioned. We deepen our faith walk and our relationship with CHRIST when our journey is accompanied by such threats. The spiritual life in CHRIST causes each of us to take risks, walk out on cliffs, venture down unknown paths, abandon that which is familiar and predictable, stand against the crowd, and remain loving and forgiving in the face of betrayals and trap layers! This is the PASSION! This is THE CALLING! The threat of survival provokes the Beloved of GOD to go to the mountain top, see the danger, and the carnal end, while commensurately looking into the windowpane of eternity. Consequently, the Beloved is transformed like the face of Moses and like the garments of CHRIST!

In essence, Beloved of GOD, rejoice because the threat of your survival is not the indicator that life is taking you under, but is in actuality a door for the LORD GOD to endow your life with greater possibilities and blessings then eyes have seen and ears have heard! YOU are an aspect of GOD'S DREAM being fulfilled and GOD'S LOVE regenerating itself! What the Woman with the Issue of Blood offers us is this reality, when your survival is at hand, "PRESS!" Yes, "PRESS FORWARD" in the authority of the LORD that deeper intimacy with the LORD will enable you to not only live, but will enable you to claim one of the many banners of what it means to be Christian, namely, "I WILL SURVIVE" AND COME FORTH AS PURE GOLD!

ISAIAH 55: 11

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

GOD IS TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING PART I, II, III

Plethora Ministries

WORD WEEK 03.12.06, 03.19.06, 03.26.06

GOD IS TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING!

GENESIS 37:24 KJV

And they took him, and cast him into a pit: and the pit was empty, there was no water in it.

GENESIS 37: 28, 36 KJV

Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver; and they brought Joseph into Egypt. And the Midiantes sold him into Egypt unto Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh's, and captain of the guard.

GENESIS 39: 2 KJV

And the Lord was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian.

The season of Spring has commenced! Humanity bears witness to glimmers of its presence by the precursor of daffodils that have peeked their heads through the earth's winter blanket after several months of dormant slumber. As the winter snow melts into the earth, daffodils have relinquished themselves to the marriage of soil and water and have consummated their union bringing forth brilliant yellow blossoms kissed by the sun itself. These brilliant bright yellow blossoms are reminders to each of us that GOD is still on the throne and that the LORD is speaking to humanity and every living thing in creation. Further reflection upon the presence of the daffodil is a reminder to us that GOD has not forgotten about his promises, but more importantly, that GOD has not forgotten about us!

All winter long we have labored under the hope that daylight would be longer, that the climate would more forthcoming with warmth from the sun, and that the anticipation of the marvelously welcomed unexpected unfolding glory of GOD would become more manifested in our lives! Like the daffodils that seem to stretch their green arms and raise their yellow heads in reverential praise to the majesty, the splendor, and the holiness of GOD, so must we as we anticipate a fresh breath from GOD with the approach of Spring!

As we have trod the challenging paths of Winter, some of us have become acclimated to its barrenness, while others have become immune to its barrenness, and still others have forgotten the barren ground upon which they stand was the place, just months prior, where rich green vegetation was a bold declaration of the resilient nature of GOD'S love, grace, and mercy! Metaphorically, the daily malaise of the Winter season has caused far too many of the LORD'S people to render themselves to abductions, place their faith in "pits," and allow their integrity to be "sold" to questionable euphorically imbued doctrine that causes one to feel wonderful, but has no authentic healing, convicting, humbling, nor transformative power! Significantly, many of GOD'S people have waited and are just shy of a few minutes of giving up and giving in, but you must not! Spring will come commensurately with the manifestation of GOD'S blessings, healing, deliverance, and renewal in your life beloved of GOD!

As the events unfold in the Narrative of Genesis 37:24, Joseph's brothers conspired a plan to destroy him as he disclosed a dream that indicated that his brothers would one day bow down themselves before him. Joseph's brothers conspired to kill him. However, one brother, Rueben petitioned them to refrain in exchange for Joseph's coat of many colors and smeared it with a kid's blood so Jacob would think that his younger son was dead. While the events were unfolding in the bloodline of Jacob, they were simultaneously and metaphorically functioning as a part of GOD'S plan in the intertwined nature of Israel and Egypt. The LORD rendered guidance to Joseph who had witnessed the moral decay and fallen victim, repeatedly, to the psychospiritual erosion of GOD'S people. Circumstances of despair and the proliferation of human pathos had escalated in the land. A reversal of fortune was foreshadowed in that GOD'S people would eat their food in frenzy, drink their water in desolation, and recline upon their beds of rumination, for their land would be stripped of everything in it because of the presence of idolatry in its varied forms. Significantly, what was becoming clear was that GOD was speaking, but his people were not listening. Ironically, even at present, not only are GOD'S people not hearing his voice, but far too many of GOD'S people have loss their dreams, even more of them have forsaken the passion of the dream, and still even more of them, the gift to interpret the dream! Spring is the reminder for each of us that even during the months of Winter that "God Is Trying To Tell You Something."

Part I THE PIT

As the events unfold in the text, we become witness bearers to a plan conspired by the brothers of Joseph to destroy him. We did not arrive on the scene with these brothers via our own volition, but via circumstance. These brothers, who are completely unaware of our presence began to contrive a plan. While we, the witness bearers, are praying and hoping that what Satan met for evil, but GOD for good would result in an optimistic outcome, we are unable to access Joseph to inform him that danger was on the horizon! While the brothers have some change of heart, not so much about what to do, but how to implement a plan by which to exonerate themselves, they decide to place Joseph in a pit and leave him for dead!

As each of us have traveled upon his/her spiritual journey, we have, at sometime on that journey, been waylaid by "PITS!" In some instances, we have seen these PITS from afar. Consequently, we have been able to sidestep them for prepare for the "shock" of becoming intimately acquainted with them. In other instances, even more dangerous are the PITS that we do not see nor expect. Even more compelling, devastating, and disempowering are the PITS that are prescribed by those whom we love, trust, and to whom we have been entrusted! It is like one walking down the street and unknowingly walking into a manhole or stepping into a hole that completely throws off one's balance/equilibrium causing shock, sprains, fractures, and brokenness, not only to the body, but to the integrity and the spirit of the victim! Help us GOD! Joseph was in a PIT and so was his hope, future, and his life!

PITS are the kinds of situations that have the propensity to destroy or transform us! We have witnessed the pandemic and pervasive impact of the manner in which these PITS manifest such destructive tenants in the sanctioned suffering, the moral malignance, the physical perniciousness, the economic emasculation, the spiritual slaughter, the emotional exploitation, and the psychological plutocracy of far too many innocent people! When one falls into a PIT, the critical thing that one must do is to look up! One must in the words of the psalmist acknowledge that "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth." Psalm 121:1-2.

Part II SOLD

As the narrative continues to unfold, Joseph is rescued from the PIT into which he was placed by his brothers. He is SOLD by the Midianites into Egypt to Potiphar, an Officer of Pharaoh and Captain of the Guard. We might imagine that Joseph wondered where the hand of GOD was in all of this mishap! When a human being is SOLD, it is such a dehumanizing travesty to the human condition and the human soul as it has the propensity to strip the dignity and character of him/her who is sold like property!

Moreover, further reflection upon this dynamic of being SOLD is a tragic, yet a critical part of one's ability to understand the historical significance and pathos of Africans/African Americans who journeyed from the banks of Africa through the Middle Passage to the islands, states, and other countries into the disempowering system of slavery.

While history has offered society many valuable lessons, many of these unlearned lessons reveal themselves in a plethora of variations. When one considers the dynamic of being SOLD, many women are prostituted across national and international boarders and even right in our own communities. Significantly, children are abducted, sold, abused, and murdered under the canopy of being rescued! Help us GOD! Additionally, far too frequently, GOD'S PEOPLE are selling themselves short of the fulfillment of GOD'S plans for their lives, as they sell out for popularity, association, prestige, recognition, acceptance, and favor! The act of being SOLD has a very high price, one of which yields painful returns and life-denying interest; for Joseph is was twenty pieces of silver, for the exploitation of women and children the range is $10.00 with no ceiling, and for JESUS, the price was thirty pieces of silver via Judas Iscariot! Oh if we had the wings of a dove we would fly away and be at rest we muse!

Part III THE BETRAYAL

Commensurate with our desire for renewal, peace, and joy, the world, the nation, and our communities have been severely impacted by suffering, despair, brokenness, woundedness, and catastrophe. As many of us allow ourselves to be present to this reality, we, GOD'S people, sometimes feel helpless and hypocritical as we pray, sing, and praise GOD on Sunday, but neglect to exhibit a spirit of gentleness, love, compassion, understanding, encouragement, and empathy to those who we encounter the remaining days of the week. Betrayal sometimes is readily witnessed in overt instances, but even more toxic, devastating, and deadly it has the potential to be when it is implemented in the dark, in secrecy, covertly! Significantly, far too many persons' lives have been radically altered as a consequence of no volition of their own implementation, but by the hands of those who abuse and inappropriately dislodge power. Have mercy upon us LORD, we pray!

Trust may take a lifetime to establish and betrayal has the power to destroy such trust in seconds! Joseph was betrayed by his blood and those whom professed to love him. Jesus was betrayed by those whom he nurtured, loved, healed, protected, and those for whom he would die! If the truth were uttered, you, Beloved of GOD have been betrayed by false hopes, relationships, friendships, family, the faith community, and even at times by "self" in believing that your circumstances are too complex and anchored in a miry pit, or sold to the land of no return for the power of GOD to work in and through such circumstances.

As we look at the narrative of the plight of Joseph, he remains anchored by the GOD on the inside of him and not anxiety-ridden by the small gods outside of him that were invested in his undermining!

Nevertheless, as PEOPLE of GOD, this does not mean that we must refrain from reckoning with the reality of PITS, BEING SOLD, and BETRAYAL in our lives! BETRAYALS in and of themselves wound the psyche, PITS cause spiritual neurological damage, and BEING SOLD causes Posttraumatic Stress Disorder...TRAUMA! Joseph offers us hope and petitions each of us that "GOD IS TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING!"

The aforementioned statement is critically significant, because circumstances have the propensity to cause even the most grounded Christian to call into question the fruition of GOD'S word amidst the onslaught of a the triple threat of THE PIT, SELLING, and BETRAYAL experiences.

Part IV THE DREAM

The DREAM Part IV will be the Word Of Reflection Devotion for the week of 04-02-06

As we approach the manifestation of the promises of GOD, let us do so with a greater degree of reverence and intimacy to GOD as we are compelled by our potential under the light of the brilliance of the CHRIST, convicted by "TRUTH" and transformed by "LOVE" to which we have tenaciously cleaved, and enraptured in the presence of GOD'S healing love!

ISAIAH 55: 11So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
