Christmas Prayer of Peace & Renewal 2021

Christmas Prayer of Peace & Renewal 2021

"O' God, our help in ages past, our hope for years to come."

As we embrace the dawning of the new year 2022 and the twilight of the present year 2021, we thank you God with a spirit of gratitude, not because we have not come this far without wounds, without brokenness, without unfathomable losses, and without infinite uncertainties, but because of your loving kindness and grace that has sustained us through dark nights, turbulent seas, bitter winters, and vociferous winds.

As we reflect upon our spiritual summons during this time of year commemorating the birth of Christ,

May our hope, our purpose, and our vision, be renewed and refreshed as we touch the lives of others with love and glad tidings of peace.

May our joy and our hope come alive again and become unquenchable as we inspire each other.

May we be gifted by the wonder, the majesty, and the bliss of excited expectation of new dreams and possibilities.

May our faith be reignited and set aflame by the breath of God.

May we be courageous enough to embrace the strength of our weakness, and humble enough to embrace the weakness of our strength.

May we be encouraged that God has never stopped watching over us and that each of us are on the heart and the mind of God.

May we continue to risk loving so deeply that we set the world aflame with infectious love, abiding compassion, overflowing joy, bountiful benevolence, and tidings of peace.

May such love help us to soar to new heights, greater depths, and infinite possibilities.

May we move forward in connecting with other’s hearts without reticence, fear, nor restraint.

May the flame of our hearts radiate brighter and brighter as one flame yields birth to another and another.

May we be renewed moment by moment and reaffirmed that we are loved, beautiful, gifted, resilient, and powerful.

May such an awareness catapult us to greater heights of inspiration, imagination, creativity, and possibilities.

May our wounds heal us, renew us, and birth us like the Phoenix that is birthed by the fire that consumes it.

May we remain committed to the journey of faith and the path of discovery as we give ourselves to inspire and be inspired, to touch and be touched and walk with those who look and hope for love, light, hope, and peace.

May our Christmas overflow with the presence of love, joy, hope, and peace.

May the New Year overflow with renewed blessings of hope, grace, rest, peace, goodness, and prosperity.

All these things we pray and ask.

Amen

THE HIGH CALLING

The High Calling

If God has called you to be really like Jesus in all your spirit, He will draw you into a life of crucifixion and humility, and put on you such demands of obedience that He will not allow you to follow other Christians, and in many ways He will seem to let other good people do things which He will not let you do.

Other Christians and ministers, who seem very religious and useful, may push themselves, pull strings, and work schemes to carry out their plans. But you cannot do such things. You will meet with such failure and rebuke from the Lord as to make you sorely patient.

Others can brag on themselves, on their work, on their successes, on their workings/writings, but the Holy Spirit will not allow you to do any such thing, if you begin it, He will lead you into some deep mortification that will make you despise yourself and all your good works.

Others will succeed in making great sums of money, having a legacy left to them, or having luxuries. However, God may supply you daily, because He wants you to have something far better than gold that is helpless dependence on Him. That He may have the privilege of providing your needs day by day out of an unseen treasury.

The Lord may let others be honored and put forward, but keep you hid away in obscurity. He does this to produce some choice, fragrant fruit for His coming glory, which can only be grown in the shade. He may let others be great but keep you small. He may let others do a work for Him and get credit for it, but He will make you work and toil on without letting you have any knowledge of how much you are doing. Then to make you still more precious, He will let others get the credit for the work you have done. This will make your reward ten times greater when Jesus returns.

The Holy Spirit will put a strict watch on you with jealous love. He will rebuke you for little words or feelings, or for wasting time, things that other Christians never seem distressed over. So make up your mind that God is an infinite Sovereign, and has the right to do as He pleases with his own.

He may not explain to you a thousand things, which may puzzle your reasoning in His dealing with you. God will take you at your work. If you absolutely sell yourself to be His slave, He will wrap you up in a jealous love. He will let other people say and do things that you cannot say or do.

Settle it forever; you are to deal directly with the Holy Spirit. He alone has the privilege of tying your tongue, chaining your hands and closing your eyes in ways that others are not dealt with. Now, when you are so possessed with the living God that you are, in your secret heart, pleased and delighted over this peculiar, personal, private, jealous guardianship and life, you will have the vestibule of heaven.

ACCEPTANCE AT GOD'S TABLE

THE  LORD'S SUPPER:
THE COMMUNION TABLE OF GOD

"For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you
proclaim the LORD'S death until HE comes." 1 Corinthians 11:26

Have you been rejected, shut out, forgotten, victimized, misrepresented, shamed, oppressed, depressed, mishandled, scorned, rebuffed, or harshly criticized? If you have, there is good news for you!

The Good News: Beloved there is always room at God’s Table for You! At God’s table you are always welcomed, loved, accepted, affirmed, encouraged, and embraced, because God loved and loves you so much that even before you were formed in your mother’s womb, that He sent His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to take the weight and die on The Cross for the remission of humanity’s sin!

Be encouraged Beloved of The Most High! God has prepared a royal destiny for you because God loves you, yes you, so much and even more profoundly that we are capable of comprehending, that he welcomes you at His Table. Jesus reminded his disciples at The Communion Table, Last Supper, of the reality of God’s love before He departed from them and ascended to Heaven, while imparting The Holy Spirit, The Comforter, to keep and minister to us until His glorious return!

You are loved! There is hope! You have a future! Do not give up!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future!” Jeremiah 29:11

Be Blessed,

K. Mason

ACRONYM FOR PEACE

PEACE

Beloved of the Most High: You have not happened upon this meditation neither by accident nor by default. You were lead here by a gracious and loving FORCE that is greater than you. You have been seeking an answer(s)...a response. Stay a while and rest. "Be Still." Psalm 46:10

May you be blessed with the gift of peace on this day; even right now as you read and reflect upon this quiet meditation. May the LORD grant you "divine peace." Peace that surpasses all understanding, circumstances, knowledge, troubles, doubt, anxiety, and fear(s). May your heart be comforted and your mind placed at ease. May you be granted peace!

Peace. Peace. Sweet Peace Beloved.

Peace is not defined by the absence of adversity, challenges, or disappointments, but peace is the gracious and loving presence of GOD'S grace and presence of The Holy Spirit to sustain you and enable you to stand, yes, even right now, when circumstances would have otherwise overtaken and defeated you! You are not written off! Your circumstances have not defeated you! Do not give up!

Trust not in what you see and place not your treasures in earthen vessels, but have faith as "faith is the substance of things hoped and the presence of things not seen." Hebrews 11:1. God is still on the throne!

Take heart, comfort, and solace, because "the race is not given to the swift, but to he that endures to the end!

May our Heavenly Father bless you and keep you always in His care, His grace and grant you His Peace.

Below are 3 brief Acronyms for Peace. Read Them, Reflect Upon Them, &; Rest In Them!

A Prayer For Those Who Have Loss A Loved One

A Reflection For You

"While the dust of that which you have loss has only started to settle,
the profundity of the absence of your beloved is still very profound, palpable, present.

An emptiness and a void seems to envelop you, while the absence of your beloved is dramatically heighten and felt as holidays and anniversaries approach and fold one into the other as you long for his/her presence.

Though salty tears flood the windowpanes of your eyelids, invite and allow them to flow steady and run deeply like the Nile River,
For in their flowing they tell their own stories while cleansing one's soul, leaving their salty trail down your cheek.

As you reflect upon memories of happy times that caused your heart to soar and your mouth to burst with uncontrollable laughter, bask in the warmth of them as if being warmed by the sun at the height of the noonday. May you be nourished, strengthened, comforted, healed, and renewed by them.

When the sweet fragrance of spring fills your nostrils, allow this fragrance divine to wrap and intoxicate you causing you to drift away transcending both time and space with the knowledge that though a flower dies, the memory of its fragrance is eternal.

As a melody of the joyous sound of the music of air and the singing of birds caress the shell of your ear, allow it to touch, enrapture, and comfort your heart, dance upon your windowpane of your soul, and inspire you to love more deeply, more widely, and more freely because you come from love and because you are loved.

May you take solace and comfort in knowing that your beloved is near... he is/she is...
Because the presence of God is with you and the Spirit of God lives within you now and forever."  Amen.

Immortal Invisible

Immortal Invisible

Sanctify ye a fast, call a solemn assembly, gather the elders and all the in habitants of the land into the house of the Lord your God, and cry unto the Lord

Joel 1:14

Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the Lord will do great things. Be not afraid, ye beasts of the field: for pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength. Be glad then, ye children of Zion, and rejoice in the Lord your God.

Joel 2:21-23a

That which lives forever is immortal and that which we cannot see is invisible like the air that we breathe.
In our present time we are beset by an array of challenges that summon both our time and our attention. While life often presents us with the challenge to resolve urgent presenting issues immediately, we become simultaneously inundated or even avalanched by a cascade of more pressing issues subsequent to the issue that we are in the midst of remedying. We ponder and muse to ourselves that we are at the brink of breaking-point; i.e., the point of no return. Sometimes it appears that we are gasping for air, yet feel suffocated by the circumstances that beset us with little to no relief on the horizon. Sometimes those moments that we must gasp for air are further intensified and evident when our marriages fail, when our children go astray, when we are betrayed by those whom we trust, when our friends take a hiatus during the times we need them most, when years of dedicated service result in months of unemployment, when we lose our homes, when our finances are depleted, when sickness brings life as we  once celebrated it to a halt, when the shadow of death claims the lives of those whom we love, when parents place their children on psychological probation, when the good that we exemplify is spoken of as evil, when shame and slander are the news of the day, when doors of opportunity are slammed shut, when our brothers and sisters find shelter on the streets, when food is discarded in large quantities daily, yet far too families are left to starve while they bear witness to their children who fall prey to the disease of malnutrition, when we as members of this great nation, resort to internal fighting and conflict due to our own fears, biases, idiosyncrasies, and insecurities, while forgetting those things that unify us as one in the bond of love of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Redeemer. It appears that we have forgotten the unity that bonded us when our fathers, mothers, brother, sisters, and other beloved had returned home from world wars and civil wars as well as those times when collective medical efforts conquered disease. It seems that we have forgotten the sacrifices of those who paved the way before us who traversed rocky precipices in hues of Black, Red, White, Yellow, and Brown. It seems that we have forgotten those types of adversities that have changed our lives as we once knew it such as the horror of 911 and the catastrophe of Hurricane Katrina all of which caused us to reckon with the reality that we are all in this thing called “life” together. What does this apathy that we, at present, experience mean we ponder? How did we veer off-track we muse? Is all lost? Is there anything reconcilable we ask ourselves even as we pray with heavy hearts and troubled minds? What does God require of us in such challenging times? What must we require of one another?

The Prophet, Joel, considered a minor prophet, yet with a major proclamation, petitions and reminds us that HOPE in God is still very much alive and that we must reconcile ourselves to God through our faith in Jesus Christ, whom redeems us. Joel reminds us that we must assemble and humble ourselves before God and petition his grace and mercy with the aid of our elders in a posture of submission coupled with the relinquishment of our self-righteousness and pompousness. When we place ourselves before the presence of God our Holy Father at the base of the Mercy Seat in an authentic and self-revelatory manner, fear, shame, doubt, desolation, brokenness, exclusion, and apathy can no longer lay claim to our destiny, our faith, and our royal priesthood because God our Father, who is the Ancient of Days is still on the throne! Because God is sovereign, trees will bear fruit, fountains will flow with living water, pastures will become green, and we as the sheep of his pasture will be enveloped in the presence of the Immortal Invisible, yet Omnipresent, Omnipotent, Omniscient Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Be Blessed,
K. Mason

DIVINE DANGER!!!

Plethora Ministries
WORD WEEK 04-23-06
DIVINE DANGER!

Matthew 27: 2 8-36 KJV
Then the governor's soldiers took Jesus into the Praetorium, and gathered the whole garrison together against him. They stripped him, and put a scarlet robe on him. They braided a crown of thorns and put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand; and they kneeled down before him, and mocked him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"They spat on him, and took the reed and struck him on the head. When they had mocked him, they took the robe off of him, and put his clothes on him, and led him away to crucify him.As they came out, they found a man of Cyrene, Simon by name, and they compelled him to go with them, that he might carry his cross. They came to a place called "Golgotha," that is to say, "The place of a skull."They gave him sour wine to drink mixed with gall. When he had tasted it, he would not drink. When they had crucified him, they divided his clothing among them, casting lots, and they sat and watched him there. They set up over his head the accusation against him written, "THIS IS JESUS, THE KING OF THE JEWS."

DIVINE DANGER

During this time of the year while flowers and trees are stretching to the heavens in celebration of renewal from GOD, Christians the world throughout pause to deeply reflect about the Passion Narrative of Jesus Christ. While there is no event as momentous as Christ's agony and walk to Golgotha, a critical aspect of what it means to experience presence, pathos, and passion is overlooked if one does not consider that the Passion Narrative commenced with the birth of the Christ Child.

As we look at an amplification of the birth narrative, we are witness bearers to the reality that prior to the exit of Christ from both the womb of his mother and the womb of eternity, fear, debauchery, plans to abort, and interrupt prophetic fulfillment were on the minds of the masses, criminals, and even many in the Sanhedrian. Significantly, what is poignant about such a reflection is the reality that the presence of danger was as intimately interwoven with the life of Christ and his family as every other life event. This presence was just not simply unpurposeful nor incidental danger, but action manifested in love, sacrifice, and passion, namely, "DIVINE DANGER!"

Throughout the sacred text; i.e., from the book Genesis to the book of Revelation, we as the Beloved Community of GOD are petitioned to embrace the spiritual necessity as well as existential invitation of DIVINE DANGER. Oftentimes, DIVINE DANGER accompanies the life of him/her who thirsts, follows, and is compelled by the intimately transformative presence of GOD. However, the necessity of DIVINE DANGER summons anxiety and fear in the believer as we have trepidation that the requirements will be great and the cost quite high. We embrace the reality that an aspect of the spiritual experience is about euphoric rejoicing, but attempt to stay clear and avoid the aspect of the spiritual life that requires our embrace of DIVINE DANGER! The consolation of the journey accompanied that DIVINE DANGER is that you are NEVER ALONE BELOVED of GOD! ABSOLUTELY NEVER! NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS...GOD! NO MATTER WHAT DOES NOT HAPPEN...GOD! GOD does not lie neither does his word return VOID! Consequently, GOD is mandated by TRUTH to make GOD'S WILL manifest through the presence DIVINE DANGER. Simply stated Beloved, DIVINE DANGER is a very strong indicator that GOD is moving your spiritual life to "shutdown" obstruction and "breakout" abundant living!

While it is instinctive and a critical aspect of our human and animal nature to ensure safety and security, Christians must exercise authentic faith and trust, and resist the spirit of depression and a poverty-stricken spiritual life when DIVINE DANGER reveals itself.

Far too frequently, many of the Beloved of GOD are dismayed, while others are disconcerted, still even others abducted by fear when events and plans do not occur according to plan. Moreover, such distress is ignited like wildfire by the harsh reality when fear, disappointment, loss, and suffering occur when the Beloved of GOD encounter DIVINE DANGER being orchestrated within the confines of the faith community.

Throughout the Holy Writ, we are witness bearers to the reality that quite often a companion of transformation and spiritual enlightenment is the presence of DIVINE DANGER. What an ironic statement we ponder silently, even right now in reading this reflection. When we as witness bearers observe the interaction of Adam and Eve and their interface with the Tree of Knowledge, we witness the interplay of HOPE and DIVINE DANGER. When we as witness bearers observe The Call of Abraham, the promise to Sarah, and the Promise to Hagar from JEHOVAH, we witness the interplay of POTENTIAL, HOPE, PROMISE, and DIVINE DANGER! When we as witness bearers observe the plight of Joseph in having been left in a well, sold, and betrayed, we witness the interplay of TRUST, PATIENCE, GRACE, and DIVINE DANGER. When we as witness bearers observe the marriage of the Bridegroom with the Church as prophesied in the book of Revelation, we witness the interplay of GRACE, RETRIBUTION, VICTORY, FULFILLMENT, MERCY, TRIUMPH, and DIVINE DANGER. When we as witness bearers observe the lives of Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr. Gandhi, Malcolm X, Harriet Tubman, Gustvas Vassa, unsung Heroes whose names never made history books, our parents and their parents [Heroes and Heroines who knew that they would not witness the manifestation of their labor, sweat, and suffering, but whose journey was filled with PRAYER PASSION that the sacrifice for those unborn would bear witnesses to GOD'S resurrecting power of his SON, a people, a nation, and a legacy that outnumbers stars in the universe], we witness the interplay of HOPE, FREEDOM, DETERMINATION, RESILIENCE, VICTORY, GRACE, and DIVINE DANGER! There are numerous occurrences of this reality. The poignant and compelling question remains: Why is it for some many Christians does this occurrence become disconcerting?

A Closer amplification of the text of Matthew, chapter 28 enables us to observe that CHRIST at anytime could have aborted the journey and ushered in instantaneous justice. However, that which we witness is CHRIST'S sense of purposefulness and his trust in GOD'S outcome instead. Nevertheless, the questions that we petition in the solitude of our solemn reflection are: 1) Why the crown of thorns? 2) Why the mockery and degradation? 3) Why the stripping? 4) Why the beating? 5) Why the mixing of sour wine with gall? 6) Why the casting of lots, 7) Why the interfacing of Simon of Cyrene? Beloved each of the seven inquiries are worthy of an individual "WORD." Consequently, in the forthcoming months, a Seven Part Reflection Series will be forthcoming entitled "Purposefulness, Passion, & Pain: Why?" Nevertheless, the short response that may offer a balm for the moment is LOVE; i.e., GOD'S LOVE!

As we look at current events, both nationally and internationally, injury, destruction, suffering, and the pleasure principle are all at pandemic levels. Sensitivity, patience, morality, the necessity of being our brothers' and sisters' keepers, the honoring of those in their senior years, the feeding of the hungry, team work, the sheltering of the homeless, the liberation of the oppressed, and the readiness to die to CHRIST are all being sacrificed, because the dynamic of DIVINE DANGER accompanies the aforementioned. We deepen our faith walk and our relationship with CHRIST when our journey is accompanied by the divinely dangerous. The spiritual life in CHRIST causes each of us to take risks, walk out on cliffs, venture down unknown paths, abandon that which is familiar and predictable, stand against the crowd, and remain loving and forgiving in the face of betrayals and trap layers! When we abandon the parameters of human reason alone and "tap" the consciousness of GOD, our lives become transformed in our realization that our lives are really not our own, but gifts birthed by the unfathomable love of GOD! DIVINE DANGER causes something to happen to us, with us, and in us as we know that victory and triumph can only come from divine intervention via the LORD! DIVINE DANGER provokes the Beloved to go to the mountain top, see the danger, and the carnal end while commensurately looking into the windowpane of eternity. Consequently, the Beloved is transformed like the face of Moses, the garments of CHRIST, The Underground Railroad of Harriet Tubman, The feeding of thousands by Mother Theresa, The walking on land mines to caress AIDS inflicted babies like Princess Diana, the liberation of the oppressed and DREAM for humanity of Reverend Martin Luther King, Jr., The willingness to venture down an unknown path like that Robert Gould Shaw and the Massachusetts 54 Regiment, The prophetic and reflective centering of Reverend Howard Thurman, The impact of symbol and the hero's journey of Joseph Campbell, The resilience to dare to dream like Oladauh Equanio, The quiet reflection of an inner spiritual life like Thomas Merton, The poetic and prophetic passion of melodious poetry of Kahlil Gibran, the displaced Hagar and her son Ishmael [because the Lord hath heard thy affliction Genesis 16:11], and so many others whose songs echo our encouragement in our collective unconscious!

In essence, Beloved of GOD, rejoice because DIVINE DANGER is the indicator that GOD has greater possibilities and blessings on the horizon for specifically for YOU! YOU are an aspect of GOD'S DREAM being fulfilled and GOD'S LOVE regenerating itself!

ISAIAH 55: 11

So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

WORD WEEK 01-06-06 CLAIM YOUR BAGGAGE Part 1

HAPPY NEW YEAR

WORD WEEK 01-08-06
CLAIM YOUR BAGGAGE PART I

EZEKIEL 12:7 KJV

And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my baggage by day, as a captive's baggage, and in the even I digged through the wall with my hand; I brought it forth in the dark, and bore it upon my shoulder, in their sight.

The gifts have been opened, the tree trimmings have been removed, the splendor and radiance of sparkling lights have gone on sabbatical until Advent 2006, the New Year is now in full swing, and many of GOD'S people have already implemented travel plans for the season of Spring and Summer. Whether one's destination is near or far, travel ignites a sense of excitement and anticipation; expectation and anxiety; immediacy and delay. Whether one travels by foot, automobile, train, ship, bus, or an airplane, the one feature that travel has in common in all six modalities is the necessity of packing; i.e., the transport of baggage.

One month ago, Christians around the world were witnesses to the season of Advent. During that time, we were witnesses to the journey of life and death which the Betrothed Virgin, The Wise Old Man, and, significantly, the Christ-Child were required embrace. The journey that they were required to take consisted of excitement and anticipation; expectation and anxiety; approach and avoidance; hope and fear as well as a plethora of human emotions from which we draw inspiration and meaning today now and millennia to come. Significantly, we learned that The Holy Family packed only that which was essential and were required to leave behind both the comfort and familiarity of loved ones, family, friends, community, safety, and treasured material possessions that had helped to render meaning to their existence. In essence, they had to relinquish familiarity and embrace that which was clandestine, except to the heart, soul and mind of GOD!

In essence, The Holy Family were required to travel, for in doing so, they were destined to deal with the issue of carrying baggage. Importantly, There are four ways in which we carry baggage: 1] Physically; 2] Emotionally; 3] Psychologically; 4] Spiritually. Sometimes, When one travels, there are instances in which the transport of baggage is essential. At other times, no transport of baggage might be required at all. Nevertheless, far too often, many of GOD'S people have become increasingly acclimated to carrying baggage, that they are no longer cognizant that they are carrying baggage as this baggage has become a critical aspect of their self-definition as well as their worldview. Consequently, they are no longer aware of the degree to which the weight of that baggage weighs down their hope, healing, transformation, happiness, insight, empowerment, development, joy, peace, deliverance, and impedes their ability to meaningfully connect to others.

As the events unfold in the Narrative of Ezekiel 12:7, The LORD rendered spiritual direction to Ezekiel who has witnessed the narcissism of GOD'S people. Circumstances had become so horrific in Jerusalem that it would not be long before GOD'S people would eat their food in anxiety and drink their water in despair, for their land would be stripped of everything in it because of the violence of all who lived there. The inhabited towns would be laid to waste and the land would become desolate. It would not be until such a time that humanity would come to know and reckon with the sovereignty of the LORD. Consequently, Ezekiel's actions would function as sign/metaphor to set forth Zedekiah's flight out of the city when the Chaldeans took the city. The text reads as follows:

1 The word of the LORD came to me: 2 "Son of man, you are living among a rebellious people. They have eyes to see but do not see and ears to hear but do not hear, for they are a rebellious people. 3 "Therefore, son of man, pack your belongings for exile and in the daytime, as they watch, set out and go from where you are to another place. Perhaps they will understand, though they are a rebellious house. 4 During the daytime, while they watch, bring out your belongings packed for exile. Then in the evening, while they are watching, go out like those who go into exile. 5 While they watch, dig through the wall and take your belongings out through it. 6 Put them on your shoulder as they are watching and carry them out at dusk. Cover your face so that you cannot see the land, for I have made you a sign to the house of Israel."

The LORD petitioned Ezekiel to pack his belonging for exile by day as others watched and during the evening to go out like those in exile; i.e., cover his face so that he could not see the land. The logos of GOD was in fulfillment phase at this time and Ezekiel's actions; i.e., that of packing his baggage and leaving in the manner and at the times aforementioned were designed to get the attention of GOD'S people who no longer viewed their self-preoccupation and extreme self-indulgence as a form of baggage carrying. As many of us allow ourselves to be present to this reality, we can still hear the swift winter winds sing of the presence of difficult times and divine danger in the air. Already in the year 2006, we have been witnesses to pandemic suffering in the divine infancy of the month of January! Help us GOD!
Moreover, what is so compelling about baggage carrying is that God requires that we carry it out into the opening before we move to action and to a place that we might obtain relief. GOD requires both our attention and surrender in this endeavor. Ezekiel states:

And I did so as I was commanded: I brought forth my baggage by day, as a captive's baggage, and in the even I digged through the wall with my hand; I brought it forth in the dark, and bore it upon my shoulder, in their sight.

Significantly, while unquenchable anticipation and unrestrained hope have now come to cosmically divine fruition, the embrace of "TRUTH" has become available to him/her who are amenable to hear. What might we do if we had to dislodge of such baggage? Who would we be? Where would we go? How would we face ourselves, not only in our mourning, but in the morning as well as throughout the day many of GOD'S people muse? Importantly, we do not know quite where to begin, much less fathom or integrate the coexistence of "LOVE" and "TRUTH" of this caliber as we are invited to embrace a deeper awareness that no one has ever loved us like GOD does! Moreover, while the marriage and the manifestation of prophetic fulfillment and the eschatological incarnation has embodied itself in the presence of the Christ, "REASON" evades our consciousness and our grasp as the boundary of GOD'S LOVE knows no depth, no height, no breath, nor scope for which "anything that was," "anything that is," and "anything that shall be" can elude its presence.
Reluctantly, the PEOPLE of GOD must reckon with their baggage! Carrying baggage might represent a myriad of challenges and invites for GOD'S PEOPLE: For some, carrying baggage might represent a lineage of strong family ties, tradition, a regal blood line, or a lucrative inheritance; for others, carrying baggage might represent status quo, a rote existence, or one's acceptance into the circle of the elite; still for others, carrying baggage might represent the desire to remain connected to a relationship that is unhealthy and unproductive, a friendship that is barren, but perfunctory, a self-concept that perpetuates the illusion of self-importance as it has become confused about the owner of such unclaimed and displaced baggage; even still for others, carrying baggage might represent one's marriage to rejection, depression, loneliness, failure, shame, co-dependence, anger, grief, guilt, self-entitlement, and placing others on probation to vindicate and/or ameliorate one's own woundedness.
In essence, there are far too many of GOD'S people are in the baggage carrying business! Far to many of those of the faithful community have no movement in their lives as a consequence of their own complacency and unwillingness to look on the inside to not only see what is hurting, but why as well as the source of such hurt? Becoming cognizant of our baggage is like that of going to the Baggage Claim Department in the Airport. As each of us stands around the conveyor belt, we look for the baggage that has our names. Ironically, have you ever been in an airport and observed someone grabbing the baggage of someone else? Have you ever been in an airport and not notice your own baggage and believing it to be the baggage of another, dismiss your own baggage?
Consequently, claiming one's own baggage enables him/her to live a liberating life when it is claimed with openness, acceptance, tenderness, grace, love, and awareness of its impact on others who might be bumped, intentionally or inadvertently, by our baggage when we are passing through GOD'S AIRPORT. Significantly, a word of caution must be expressed here: It is not a life-affirming option to abandon one's baggage without self-inspection and the inspection of others.
Consequently, For some persons, a trip to Baggage Claim this time of year will bring the unexpected closeness and love of family and friends and security, yet for other persons, this same trip to Baggage Claim will heighten the lack of closeness, potentially fuel exclusion, recapitulate loss, and deflate hope. Nevertheless, Beloved of God, you must claim your baggage as the failure to do so will result in a cosmic threat on either your life or the quality of your life! As we approach the counter of the Baggage Claim Department in GOD'S AIRPORT, let us do so with a greater degree of reverence and intimacy to GOD as we are compelled by our potential under the light of the brilliance of the CHRIST, convicted by "TRUTH" for the baggage to which we have tenaciously cleaved, and enraptured in the presence of GOD'S healing love!
In essence, the presence of light and truth not only exposed us and others to our baggage, but GOD'S love, mercy, and grace sustains while we remain and heal from the weight of carrying such baggage!
As we enter the Baggage Claim Line we hear the following: "Welcome to the Baggage Claim Department Sir/Madam: Your name is____________________? My name is JESUS and I will be assisting you with your baggage with the accompaniment of My FATHER and The HOLY SPIRIT!"

Next Week: RELEASE YOUR BAGGAGE Part 2
